FROM THE PRESIDENT
Well everyone it is time for the home stretch run for this year. It is hard to believe the year is almost over as far as this year’s Chamber projects are concerned. Before we know it we will be planning for the winter holidays.
A lot of things have been happening over the past weeks. We have had committee meetings to address our needs as a Chamber. Our membership committee is still working very hard as well and our nominating committee.
We are maintaining our presence in several publications of the County through ads and spotlights in local papers.
We have added new members and we strive to attract others to join us in promoting Mullins and the surrounding communities. We need feedback and welcome comments on ways to improve the organization.
Our ribbon cutting and business open houses are a positive sign of improvement in this challenging time.
A new school year is here and there are many things happing. We are asking all of our members to join in and help our partners in education.
The Chamber will host a table for information at this year’s Back to School Rally that is to be held at Mullins High School Gym on Thursday the 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. If you have a couple of hours of time that you could give, please help at that table. Our presence is important in the community.
As we approach this year’s end we will be called on to help out in many ways, please say yes. We need everyone to join in and help out.
John W. Hughes
